“Tokyo Review 001” Ginza observed from a real estate point of view / “GINZA SIX” the newest and hottest spot

『Tokyo Review 001』
In Tokyo, there are many areas which attract us with their unique characters. I would like to introduce them from my point of view as 『Tokyo Review』 from time to time.
Ginza, a name of the district in Chu-o-ward of Tokyo, is very special; there are many areas which use the name “Ginza”throughout Japan.
“GINZA SIX”, the largest commercial facility in the Ginza area had opened in April. It had been completed through the “Ginza 6-10 District Urban Redevelopment Project under Category 1”, which had merged two blocks including the former site of Matsuzakaya Department Store.
This complex development project of various commercial facilities based on luxury retail had established an advertising center of Japanese traditional culture by its façade inspired by“Hisashi” (Japanese traditional canopy) and “Noren” (short, split curtain hung at the entrance of a store which shows that the store is open), together with “Kanze-Noh-gaku-Doh” (a Japanese traditional music theater) on the third underground floor.
Commercial facilities must be flexible to cope with the changes in the future. It felt that GINZA SIX has the flexibility for interior design renovation and tenant changes in the future.
The Ginza area is continuously changing with openings of flagship stores of top value brands. I will like to keep an eye out for the changes brought forth by the opening of “GINZA SIX.”
